The first six weeks

Postpartum planning session in late pregnancy
Before your baby arrives we have a dedicated 2 hour session to plan for your postpartum. We talk about what support might feel most helpful, your hopes and worries, boundaries with visitors, feeding, rest and the practical things that will make life easier in those early weeks.

2 x 3 hour visits each week for six weeks
Regular visits so you are reassured with support

  • look after your baby so you can sleep, shower or eat in peace

  • support you with feeding, whether breast or chestfeeding, combination or bottle

  • talk through how you are feeling and how things are really going

  • help with light household tasks so the basics are taken care of

  • prepare simple, nourishing food and snacks

  • create small pockets of calm and comfort in your week

We decide together what each visit focuses on, depending on what you most need that day.

Nourishing food hamper
A postpartum food hamper to help take the pressure off cooking in those early days. Warming, easy to eat, genuinely nourishing food so that you are not trying to live just on toast and biscuits while you recover!

Comfort kit for your early days
On one of our first visits I bring a small comfort kit just for you. A a few gentle items to help you feel cared for.

Six weeks of WhatsApp support between visits
You are not only supported when I am physically with you. For the full six weeks you can message me between visits with questions, wobbles, updates or “is this normal” moments and I will be there to respond, reassure, signpost and cheer you on. It is like having a doula in your pocket!

Throughout the six weeks my focus is on you feeling seen, cared for and steadily more confident as you grow into this new season of life. We move at your pace, respond to what is happening in real time and make sure you are not forgotten in the middle of caring for everyone else.
